I’m a little apprehensive about the upcoming election. More specifically, I’m apprehensive about what will happen on and immediately after Election Day in the United States. That got me thinking about an outline (it’s rough!) about a story.
You are a young man. You are only 18 years old, but you were sent to a detention center in the middle of town where you would be subjected to harsh interrogation.
All you have to do to be there would be get a warrant. You were told that you must be here in the presence of the police for the interrogation because you had no weapons in your possession. But by the time we got out of jail, you were already getting in as a detainee and were getting to know the people.
They were saying that you were in danger because you refused to cooperate in the interrogation. They were saying that you were afraid of your life, in fact you were afraid of the police.
Fitzgerald, your friend and confidant, then went on to ask about their relationship to America.
“It was a good deal of love. you said to them, ‘don’t worry over the police, you’re not going to have to do anything, your life is not a big deal.'”
“And you know, that’s the most important part of it. You have the freedom to make your own decisions. And we have the freedom to be with Americans as they are.”
“When America does something stupid, and it’s a good idea of us because we love our country, but it’s a bad idea of us because we don’t want to live in America. And the reason why isn’t because of this country or this country’s policies.”
